Development edition · October 2026
Inside Football Gazzetta.
A football management game being built around the club, the match and the newspaper.
In the current development build
- Football: FGM Engine V1.0 for new managed matches, with shared 3D, 2D and text presentation, tactical changes, substitutions and analysis.
- The club: squads, transfers, budgets, kit customisation and editable identity.
- The stadium: modular stands, corners, full bowl rebuilds, colours, sponsorship, night lighting and surroundings.
- The world: 22 leagues across 12 countries (11 league systems, with the USA and Canada sharing one), fictional cups, season progression, promotion and relegation, and the Gazzetta news section.
These features are under development and testing. Their presence in a development build does not imply completion of every rule, animation or platform requirement.
Current league coverage
England, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Portugal, Brazil, Japan, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, the USA and Canada. The 22-league total includes the separate South African second-tier streams; cups are not counted as leagues. These figures describe the current development database.
The football and the visual direction
The interface takes its cue from classic management games: clear panels, a persistent club context, tactical diagrams and practical stadium planning. Original typography and editorial graphics give the Gazzetta its newspaper identity.
The match-art direction is classic European cel shading, with grey-skinned players and vivid kits. Visual quality and animation remain active areas of work.
Why June 2050?
The June 2050 setting expresses our ambition for a game that keeps evolving in one app: optional annual FGM engine upgrades, an independent editor and custom content that stays yours. It is an ambition, not a measured claim of superiority. Your career starts on 1 June, in pre-season, so you can prepare the squad before competitive matches begin.
Platforms and purchase
The target platforms are iPhone, iPad and Mac. Adaptive compact and expanded layouts are part of development. Minimum devices, final performance and release timing still require confirmation.
The planned launch offer gives you the full game free for 7 days, then a one-off £3.99 unlock. No subscription. The initial game includes FGM Engine V1.0. Optional annual engine upgrades are planned as in-app purchases, starting with V2.0, to improve your existing game. The editor must remain available without an upgrade, and edited content must be preserved. Engine-upgrade prices have not been announced. The £3.99 base-game unlock does not include separately priced optional engine upgrades or themes. Optional 1980s, 1990s, 2000s and country-colour themes are planned at £1.99 each in the UK. These purchases are not yet available. Cross-device career continuity is part of the design and remains subject to production iCloud testing.
Fantasy names. Full customisation.
The starting world uses fantasy team names and fantasy player names, not real-world names or rosters. Kit customisation, emblem image import and the controlled club’s name editor are already in development. The full planned editor adds team, league and player editing, attributes, squads, year editing, dates and database profiles. A complete emblem-creation workshop is also required. These broader editor functions are not all implemented yet.
Next development priorities
- Broader football rules, match balance and richer action animations.
- More detailed stadium architecture, crowds and training-ground assets.
- Long-career testing, physical-device performance and cross-device save verification.
- Release preparation, accessibility review and store approval.
